This project was started as a gift to acknowledge the efforts of three individuals in the Korean NFT space that helped to establish the Korean NFT scene in its early stages: Donglee Han, Jin Seonwoo, Youngbum Park (Kingbit). Although there have been countless benefactors and supporters of the community here, these three stand out for these reasons and many more:
Donglee: Established and maintains the first official Korean NFT website. Organizes the Korean NFT club on Clubhouse and spends hours translating between Korean and English in various rooms every week. Tirelessly researches new #NFT marketplaces and reports findings back to the Korean community.
Jin Seonwoo: Was one of the early proponents of NFT’s in Korea and was crucial to onboarding many early artists. Was the first one to set up Clubhouse rooms in Korean dedicated to spreading word about NFT’s. Established the first Korean NFT in-person exhibition at Punto Blu in Seoul, Korea. Constantly giving advice and mentoring new Korean NFT artists.
Kingbit: Wrote and collected documents related to NFT minting, tutorials for setting up cryptocurrency wallets, set up and moderates a 700+ person group chat for Korean NFTs, constantly coordinates and supports all new projects that emerge in the Korean NFT space.
Without the efforts of these three individuals, the Korean NFT scene would surely not have progressed as far as it has now, and Korean NFT artists have banded together to gift a historic NFT to them, a sampling of some of the first generation of Korean NFT artists. This collection was minted as an edition of 3, and gifted to each of them.
I myself owe all of my beginning successes to all three and dedicate this project to them in love and appreciation. Thank you for all you do for our community!
